I cannot find one negative thing to say about the burger I had at Bosque Burger today. El Vado in itself is a wonderful place to spend a Sunday afternoon but with all the options, it's hard to decide what sounds best. As soon as I saw a BBQ Bacon Mac and Cheese burger on the menu, I knew I had to give it a try.

The burger came stacked with meat that was juicy and flavorful and a sort of mac and cheese patty that was cooked perfectly to make this meal not as messy as it could be. As soon as you bite into it, the mac and cheese was fresh and gooey on the inside making it a genius substitution for a Kraft single. The barbecue sauce adds an awesome amount of tangy flavor and the bacon, well, bacon speaks for itself.

I honestly feel a little lame writing this much about a burger but it's been about 7 hours and I can't stop thinking about it. Aside from the food, the cashier was SO friendly and each burger comes with a vegan coleslaw and a strawberry (cute touch, honestly). So stoked about this place!

One of my favorite things to do is hang out at the El Vado Motel and support all the amazing local businesses located in there.

Today my husband and I hit the jackpot at Bosque Burger. They had Elote (Mexican Grilled Corn) as one of the specials. We ordered the Red or Green Burger, Elote, and Truffle Tots. We also grabbed a beer from the El Vado Taproom. The burger was delicious, my husband and I split it. The tots and Elote were Ah-Mazing! I highly recommend ordering both these items (when the Elote is available).

I love the atmosphere, it's a fun and family-friendly place to hang out. I encourage you to stop by, grab a beer, order a burger and don't forget the tots!

As a disclaimer we are midwest folks and know beef...especially burgers. The burgers in New Mexico definitely aren't the same as you get around Illinois.

I had the chorizo sunrise. Thin meat patty, very little chorizo and waffle fries topped were overcooked to the point they were difficult to chew. When food was served the fries were also cold. Unappealing.

My partner had the christmas chile burger. It looked huge and mind blowing with flavor, sadly when you bit in it was bland and disappointment.

We shared the famous truffle oil tots. They were fluffy and flavorful but a little heavy on the garlic where it was overpowering. Hefty order in a large, great for 2-3 people!

When we arrived there were approx 8 people in line, possibly an off night judging by the great reviews? Sadly our food just wasn't that great and the burgers lacked all around...I've had bigger burgers at Hardees. The outdoor seating area is AMAZING...many food/drink options while sitting out there...this we enjoyed the most!

Truffle parmesan tots... an Abq Green Chile Bacon Cheeseburger & salad = yumminess !! The dressing on the burger was so flavorful!  Can't wait to go back & try other burger creations! And...El Vado is the perfect spot to sit at sunset & have a burger!!

    Who doesn't love burgers?!

Bosque Burger is located in the awesome little space created at the okd El Vado Motel.

The eating spaces are kind of communal- there is a lot of outdoor seating along with indoor tables at El Vado Brewery.

You order, take a number, and they bring you your food. I ddi think it was borderline ridiculous to pay $2 for a canned soda, but what can you do?

I had the portabello swiss burger along with seasoned waffle fries. The burger was really good sized as was the serving size of the fries. I loved my burger.. except there was way too much bosque sauce. When I come back, I will ask for this on the side because it made my burger a soggy mess.

All in all, this is a great little place! I can't wait to come back in summertime!
